More from the Citizen Science Association’s blog post:

This ASU partnership opens many topical doors for broadening conversations at the next CSA event, including but not exclusive to citsci in the context of: low cost tools, public policy, public health, rural and native communities, libraries and science centers, space exploration, and more.

There are many benefits of a campus-based conference that our partnership with ASU provides including affordable on-campus lodging options, green infrastructure, and opportunities for connecting beyond the “walls” of a convention center. Already in the works are conversations about community-embedded sessions at libraries and other community meeting spaces across the Phoenix metropolitan area.

If you have inspired ideas about how CitSci2021 can improve upon past events, we will be actively seeking volunteers later this fall.

It’s never too soon to start making plans – mark your calendars, stock up on sunscreen, and start practicing the art of drinking a LOT of water! We’ll see you in Phoenix, AZ in 2021!
