Citizen scientists and birdwatchers even helped to save the habitat of Great Horned Owls in Sonoma County from tree-trimming. Tom Rusert from Sonoma Birding summed it up well: “Citizen Science at work! If we don’t do it who will? Birding and birders can make a difference.”
