Hosting Do NASA Science LIVE

Interested in hosting a Do NASA Science LIVE event? Whether you’ve already signed on to host or are just exploring the opportunity, join us for a one-hour information session to learn everything you need to get started!

We’ll walk through what Do NASA Science LIVE is, how libraries, ambassadors, and community organizations can get involved, and what to expect when hosting an event. We’ll also cover the $500 mini-grant opportunity available to participating libraries, including how to apply, and introduce the ready-to-use resources SciStarter has developed to help make planning and hosting your event easy. We’ll leave plenty of time for questions, so bring anything you’d like to know about hosting, applying for funding, or getting your community involved. All current and prospective hosts are welcome!

Help Scientists See Space Better with Machine Learning

Featured Project: Artifact InSPECtor

Meet astrophysicist Dr. Aimee Schechter and help advance real NASA research from your own device! In this free virtual event, you’ll look at telescope images and help teach computers (machine learning) to tell real objects in space from glitches and smudges (“artifacts”) that don’t belong. Dr. Schechter and the SciStarter team will guide you step-by-step, so no experience is needed. Participate from a computer (recommended), tablet, or smartphone.

Register below as an individual participant or hosting organization. For hosting organizations, see our Event Toolkit to prepare for your event.
